Standard Leagues

Standard Leagues are the foundation of the USA BMX Racing League program and are designed to provide families with a well-paced, engaging introduction to BMX racing.

  • Duration: Standard Leagues typically run over 5–7 weeks, including the Open House and the Open Race.

  • Structure: Each week focuses on developing rider confidence, skills, and comfort on the track, progressing from fundamentals to full gate starts and mock races.

  • Pace: Sessions are held once per week, allowing participants time between classes to practice at home and build on what they’ve learned.

  • Experience: Standard Leagues foster a strong sense of community, giving riders and families time to connect with coaches, volunteers, and other participants. The steady schedule encourages consistent improvement and retention, helping new riders transition smoothly into regular USA BMX racing events.

Expedited Leagues

  • Duration: Condensed into a shorter time frame, such as 2-4 weeks, including Open House & Open Race.

  • Pace: Sessions are more frequent, running twice a week

  • Experience: Delivers the same skills and training as a standard league but in a faster-paced environment.

Both options maintain the same high-quality instruction, fun atmosphere, and focus on introducing new riders to the sport, with the choice depending on what best suits a family's schedule and goals.
